Section 251. Billing statements; payment

4 AAC 65.251. Billing statements; payment

(a) For billing statements and any corrections to billing statements for the

(1) first 10 months of a fiscal year, a provider shall submit the statements and corrections to the grantee no later than the last day of the second month following the month in which the charges were incurred;

(2) last two months of a fiscal year, a provider shall submit the statements and corrections to the grantee no later than 20 days after the end of the fiscal year.

(b) A grantee may make payment for a billing statement or correction to a billing statement that was submitted after the deadline in (a)(1) of this section only after the grantee has made payment for all billing statements and corrections to billing statements that were timely submitted by providers and only if the grantee has sufficient grant money available to pay the late statements or corrections to statements. However, in no case will payment be made for a billing statement or a correction to a billing statement submitted later than 20 days after the end of the fiscal year to which the billing relates.
